Lagos socialite give reasons for attempting to jump into a lagoon

Farida Abdulkabir, a Lagos Socialite, popularly known as Farida Sobowale, has explained why she attempted to plunge into a lagoon on the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.

Abdulkabir who is also the owner of House of Phreedah listed frustrations, a failed marriage, as part of the reasons that propelled her action on Thursday night.

In a viral video she posted online, the fair in complexion lady whose two-month-old marriage crashed said she was advised against going into marriage but she married out of love.

Some passers-by, who were at the vicinity when she made the attempt, rushed over to grab her immediately.

Witnesses reported that she drove her Lexus SUV to the edge, got out of the vehicle, and was about to jump into the lagoon when the good samarithans intervened and stopped her.

In a viral video, the Lagos socialite was seen crying while being restrained by a group of people who stopped her from leaping into the lagoon.

Sobowale, who celebrated a lavish wedding just two months ago, was recently said to have separated from her husband a few days back.
This followed a heated altercation and exchange of words on social media. Her husband, identified as Demola, had reportedly moved out of their home.
