Minister pledges to come up with policies that would transform Communications industry

The Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr Bosun Tijani, has assumed duty at the Ministry after his inauguration by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Dr Tijanni while addressing the Heads of Agencies under the Ministry, urged them to work assiduously for the success of the Bola Tinubu led administration in providing employment opportunities for Nigerians.

He pledged to come up with policies that would transform the industry.

He promised he would build on the gains recorded so far in the Ministry through effective collaboration with key stakeholders in the industry.

Dr Tijani was among the 45 ministers President Tinubu sworn in on Monday.

As Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Tijani took over from Prof Isa Pantami.

Agencies under the ministry include the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, Galaxy Backbone, GBB, Nigerian Postal Service, NIPOST National Identity Management Commission, NIMC and the Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited, NIGCOMSAT.
