Former speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly and an aspirant for the forthcoming senatorial election in Lagos east, Rt Hon. Jokotola Abdulwaheed Pelumi has urged muslim faithful to use the occasion of the Eid Kabir in diligently holding firm to the lessons of sacrifice, perseverance,,love,tolerance and loyalty to friends.
In his Eid il Kabir message he urged celebrants to adhere to all laid down rules aimed at reducing the covid 19 pandemic by observing all health advise by the government
According to him the annual celebration is here again to remind Muslims of the test, victory, loyalty, belief in Allah and determination of the sacrifice of Prophet Ibraheem and his total obedience to Allah to sacrifice his Son,
”Therefore as we join other muslim faithfuls in observing this great celebration, let us diligently hold firm to the lessons of sacrifice, perseverance, love, tolerance, steadfastness, and loyalty to our friends , family, neighbours , colleagues and government at large. Let us remember that it is through Allahs mercy that we are alive today “
Hon Pelumi advised Nigerians to adhere to all the rules and regulations aimed at flattening the curve of the deadly pandemic by using their face masks , observance of social distancing and stay at home if they do not have anything serious to do outside their homes.
“I wish you all, a corona virus free Eid- Adha celebrations and May Allah Accept our Sacrifices and prayers as an act of ibadah,he concluded” He prayed.
