President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians to live a life of sacrifice as done by Prophet Ibrahim in the Holy Quran.

He stated this in an interview after observing the Eid prayer at the Dodan Barracks Praying Ground, Ikoyi, Lagos.

He said the Eid-el Kabir was all about sacrifice and that Nigerians should show commitment to making the country better.

The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr Obafemi Hamzat said the government was aware of challenges people face and that the tough measures would yield good outcomes.

In his Eid sermon, the Chief Imam of Lagos Central Mosque, Sheikh Suleiman Abu Na’Allah recalled the sacrifices of national heroes, and urged Nigerians to shun tribalism, terrorism and all forms of vices.

Dignitaries at the prayer include the Chief of Staff to the President, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, former Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Speaker of the Lagos State Assembly, Chief Mudashiru Obasa, industrialist, Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
